Starting with an initial inquiry discussion, we will work with you to determine the scale of the project, your desired budget and time frame. Here is an outline of the design/remodel process at Hubbell Renovations.
| Initial Meeting |
First meeting with the client and contractor to discuss project preliminary scope, client needs, wants, concerns and timeline. |
Budget Range/
Project Direction |
If possible, contractor prepares a budget range based upon the preliminary scope of work discussed at the initial meeting. |
| Design/Remodel Agreement |
Contractor and owner enter into a design agreement to develop preliminary plans if required. There may be a cost associated with this and would be due before the work commences. |
| Preliminary Plan Presentation |
Preliminary plans are presented for client approval. |
| Plan Decision and Scope of Work |
Any necessary modifications are made to the plan. A detailed scope of work is defined. |
| Proposal Presentation |
A detailed proposal and budget is prepared based upon the approved plan. This proposal may still include allowances for items yet to be selected. |
| Construction Agreement |
After all bids and material pricing are received, a final construction document will be prepared. |
| Decisions/Selections |
The decisions and selections for the project are completed; i.e., cabinetry, plumbing fixtures, electrical fixtures, countertops, etc. |
| Permit |
The contractor will submit final plans to the city in order to obtain a building permit. |
| Billing Procedures |
Hubbell Renovations requires three easy payments. An initial deposit before the start of the project, your second payment is due mid-way through your project and final payment at walk-through. |
| Construction Begins |
Before the actual work begins, we will take measures to cover and protect certain areas of your business that adjoin the work area in order to keep them as dust and scratch free as possible throughout the project. |
| Get To Work |
You'll be interacting regularly with our site personnel, if not in person then through notes or phone calls. |
| Change Orders |
Change orders will be priced and presented for approval prior to commencement of additional work. Payment is due prior to the start of work. Please be advised that any change may interrupt the rhythm of the work and could result in a delay. |
| Pictures |
It is our intention to take pictures of each project prior to the start of the job and at its conclusion. If this practice is acceptable with you, we will take our "Before" pictures as soon as possible. Upon completion of the project, our marketing department will schedule a time with you for "After" pictures. With your permission, your pictures may show up on our web site or in marketing material. |
| Punchlist |
Once your project is complete we will schedule a walk-through. This will be an opportunity for you to review the work and for us to make note of any last minute items that need repaired. We will also instruct you on how to use any new appliances or equipment that have been installed in your business. |
| Client Binder |
You will be given a binder providing you all the documents for your project, including a list of paint colors, manuals and contact names and phone numbers of suppliers and subcontractors. |
| 30 Day Visit |
Approximately one month after completion of your project, Hubbell Renovations will schedule a visit to your location to be sure you are happy with the services Hubbell Renovations provided. |
